DETAILS
Covered Aft Deck
The handsome teak swimplatform and varnished
teak transom lead through a transom door to a covered teak aft deck.
This deck provides easy access to the engine room through a large hatch,
and access to the salon through double doors. 2 large in-deck hatches
allow for storage, and stairs allow safe passage to the flybridge. There
is plenty of space left for lounging, and the wide side-decks are
easily accessed on either side of the house.
Salon
The
salon is open and airy from the double doors to the cockpit to the
windshield. The galley-up is low profile and visibility is excellent
from the helm in all directions, especially out the side door. Storage
abounds, the settee converts to extra sleeping, and there are window
treatments for privacy, but ample light and ventilation for comfort.
There is also the well-known Grand Banks high/low table that folds out
to make a rather large dining table when wanted.
Utility Space
Easily
accessed via a large hatch in the salon, the utility room offers a
top-loading deep freezer and an ample stand-up refrigerator for those
who wish to extend their cruising range. Also included is a large
tool-box full of valuable tools (convey), several other tool bags (also
full), various spare parts and filters, work-bench w/ built-in vice, and
more storage than a cruising couple could possibly need. Also located
in this space are the two fuel tanks port and starboard, and the fresh
water tank forward- all 3 with site guages. Again- even with all of the
equipment already aboard, there is plenty of room for more depending on
your intentions.
Galley
The galley offers excellent work
space with plenty of counter tops area, and 360 degree visibility. The
chef never has to leave the salon, and the captain has easy access to
the refrigerator and icemaker while operating from the lower station.
The galley equipment includes an under-counter refrigerator with teak
facade and small freezer, convection microwave and very smart systems
for storage. The boat comes with factory crystal and china.
Head
The
spacious head is accessed from both the companionway and private entry
from the master stateroom. Plenty of room and storage, fresh water
head, and separate shower compartment behind an elegant glass door.
The shower has a seat and a sculpted corian sole, branded with the GB
logo, a very nice touch. The are sliding mirror panels which open up to
expose a port light.
Master Cabin
The master stateroom is
forward, and features a centerline queen berth that is easily accessed
on both sides, a large cedar-lined hanging locker, overhead hatch with
screen and shade, ample drawer storage, dimmable overhead lighting, two
reading lamps, portlights port and starboard (with curtains), plenty of
headroom, separate climate control, and private access to the head. The
joinery and woodwork is quite elegant, typical of what to expect from
Grand Banks.
Guest Cabin
Located amidships to port, the
guest cabin makes a great use of the available space. The room features
twin berths that can convert to a large double, dimmable overhead
lighting, portlight with curtain, large cedar-lined hanging locker,
ample drawer storage, and separate climate control.

up from the aft deck. The area is quite large, with twin
pedestal-mounted chairs forward for captain and mate, a straight settee
to port, and a large "L-shaped" lounge to starboard with beautiful teak
cocktail table. Forward is the centerline helm console, and aft is the
upper deck with tremendous storage compartment and dingy/davit storage.
