American Tug (Tomco Marine Group), located in La Conner Washington, was founded by Tom Nelson, former president of a boat yard. A few years later, he founded his own company called Nelson Yacht Corporation, which built yachts from 70 to 90 feet. He then shifted to the position of President at Nordic Tugs before he made the decision to form Tomco Marine Group.
American Tug’s five models include the 362, 365, 395, 435 and 485. The shipyard produces approximately 6-10 boats per year from its Washington facility. They also work alongside clients for refits, upgrades and servicing.
