A true and proven trans-ocean cruising yacht, Spada has a range of 6500nm. Having been generously and comprehensively maintained and upgraded by her current owner, Spada is offered for sale for only the second time since she was launched in 1998.

Maintained in Lloyds class and MCA LY2 compliant, Spada is ready for continued service in all respects. Lloyds 15yr survey completed in 2013. The timeless style and design of Spada will always appeal. She is a unique yacht in many respects and ready for her third connoisseur owner.

15yr Lloyds survey 2013

Over 6 weeks in the autumn of 2013, Spada underwent the Lloyds 15yr survey on the south coast of England. Initially in Lymington and then dry docked for 3 weeks at Trafalgar Wharf, Porchester. The works included:

- All thru hull fittings replaced
- Hull shot blasted and antifouled
- Ultrasonic hull thickness measurement
- All pipework checked and replaced where necessary

Aft deck

Very sheltered area with a 3 part table, built in cushioned curved seating and teak chairs.

Through the double doors from the aft deck, the main saloon is cleverly configured to serve as a comfortable drawing room and formal cocktail lounge. Beyond the bar there are two large sofas, a games table and chairs, and a useful built-in study area with leather topped writing desk.  A key feature contributing to the feeling of space and light is the curved glass-panel wall at the forward end in which two large sliding doors access a central atrium-style lobby.

An unusual feature of the main and upper deck saloons is windows that open to create a natural breeze.

Large windows allow a lot of natural light into this relaxing upper lounge.  There is a circular dining table, and coffee table with 2 chairs as well as a bar with a drop window out to the boat deck.  The emerald green glass atrium skylight at the forward end of the Sky Lounge is a unique feature.

A companionways leads from the boat deck up to the fly bridge where the eye is immediately drawn to the atrium skylight with its crisp white frame and emerald-green glass. Two white vinyl-covered helm seats address the instruments and wheel, and plenty of sunbathing space is to be found around the solid raked radar mast that sits in the middle. A covered companionway to port of the helm gives access to and from the bridge, which can also be reached through a door from the starboard side of the sky lounge.

1 King, 1 Double, 2 x twin with 1 pullman each

Owner’s stateroom:
The forward half of the main deck is given over to the owner’s suite which includes a generous stateroom, marbled bathroom, separate head and a private study: entered through a door on the starboard side of the lobby. Inside, with the study sitting immediately outboard, a passage cuts across the diagonal to the port side before opening out into the stateroom. The study can be closed off from this with concealed panelled doors.

The guest accommodation consists of three cabins on the lower deck, all accessed from a central hall. The full-beam VIP stateroom to the aft end of the corridor and two mirror image, twin-bedded cabins forward, with Pullman beds, both with en suite shower rooms and separate heads.

The bridge décor is predominantly teak, save for three Recaro helm seats covered in a bright blue Novasuede. A prime example of the high technical specification aboard is the number of steering positions; In addition to the bridge and fly bridge there are no fewer than four wing stations at bridge deck level, effectively one at each corner.

Crew Lounge

Occupying the forward area of the lower deck are the crew mess, cabins and laundry, with crew access up to a small landing serving the Owner’s suite and through watertight door to lower deck guest accommodation lobby. Accommodates 7 in 3 cabins (all ensuite):

- Captain’s cabin
- Twin bunk cabin
- Triple bunk cabin
Crew mess features B&G H3000, Sailor Compact RT 2048 VHF, CCTV monitor, Alarm panel, 32” Samsung TV, Panasonic blu ray DVD player, Samsung microwave, Sky box, dining table, fridge, sink with boiling water tap and filtered drinking water tap.

Laundry is forward on port side with 2 washing machines, 2 drying machines and roller iron. To starboard is walk in fridge/freezer.
