Three cabin layout, plus crew quarters forward, all with ensuite baths. Extraordinary value! MALINCHE was commissioned in 2005 for a family cruise from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, where she is now offered for sale and ready for her next adventure.
The quality of the interior woodwork and craftsmanship is outstanding, featuring high-grade teak with a rich multi-coat gloss finish. Saloon seating is white leather and the headliner is done in Alcantara fabric. Halogen lighting with stabilized power in each cabin.
A very spacious and inviting salon is located amidships and features a U-shaped dinette to port with matching settee and chart table forward opposite. The engine and generator access is via a large centerline hinged floorboard. The deck saloon design allows room for the machinery to be located below the salon and on the center axis of the boat, thus keeping the center of gravity low and greatly enhancing the performance characteristics of the boat. A full panoramic view is enjoyed through the curved grey tinted wrap-around reinforced windows.
The entertainment center is incorporated into the cabinetry above the settee on the starboard side with the focal point being a 26" Flat screen TV.
The full beam master suite is accessed via a corridor on the port side. A centerline queen berth is symmetrically balanced on each side with cushioned seating, storage and built in vanities. Generous size hanging lockers outboard and a Flat screen TV mounted on the center bulkhead. The master bath is outboard and includes a separate full size shower, Corian counter, vanity, electric toilet, and cabinets.
The U-shaped galley is located aft and down two steps on the starboard side and offers every modern convenience imaginable, including stainless steel appliances, dishwasher and microwave.

Forward and two steps down from the salon there is a centerline bulkhead that separates the two guest cabins. The port guest cabin has three single berths; (an over/under configuration outboard and a single opposite), with hanging and draw storage. The head is forward and also serves as access to the skippers cabin. The starboard guest cabin features a double berth with a single above and head forward. Guest baths feature vanities with Corian counters, stall shower, and electric toilets.
The skippers cabin has twin berths, (over/under) and a private bath with vanity and manual toilet.

Deck and Hull
All deck gear made from Stainless Steel AISI 316 or 316L with a "mirror polish" on their visible surfaces.
Solid Burma teak around the gunwales from bow to stern, with 6 cleats and fairleads exclusively designed by Northwind Yachts. The openings on the gunwales allow an effective water evacuation keeping the deck dryer and cleaner.
The entire deck, except the coach roof, is finished off with glued thick Burma Teak strips that are caulked and primed with rubber strips to guarantee water tightness.
The rest of the deck is finished off with two different kinds of non-slip surfaces, depending on the area.
White isophtalic polished gel coat is used to finish off the vertical cabin sides and coamings. The coaming is finished with varnished solid teak strip.
Two solid varnished Burma Teak handrails designed by Northwind are fitted on the external sides of the cabin to allow safe movements along on the deck towards the bow.
Saloon entrance hatch is provided with a locker with a sliding cover on its upper side, and another locker on its vertical side with a sliding cover fitted with a hydraulic locking system that keeps both sides sunken into the hull.
Foldaway spray hood and sunshade with Stainless Steel AISI 316 fittings. Spray hood and sunshade are kept sunken into the deck.
The mast halyards reach the cockpit and are sunken into the double saloon ceiling allowing the deck to be kept clear.
The cockpit lockers allow the stowage of the mooring ropes. Winch covers and cockpit table cover.

Hull and deck are hand laminated in a temperature and humidity controlled environment.
Hull molded by infusion technique with Vinylester Resin that protects dry and wet sides against osmotic process. Manually compacted lamination process with a metallic roller. The PVC core is welded to the lamination with special adhesives through vacuum molding system.
Multiaxial glass fibre material, laminated with special reinforcements to protect against collisions.
The Hull is finished in its external side with a white isophthalic gel coat, and the wet side is protected with additional layers of a high solid content epoxidic paint, which works as an extra barrier against osmosis.
The inner side of the hull is protected with special two-part polyester paints. The internal reinforcements are manufactured from PVC foam and are laminated.
The sandwich deck is also hand molded with vinyl ester resin using metallic rollers. The core is welded with special adhesives.
Stainless steel plates with solid lamination parts are used to reinforce the deck equipment. To guarantee water tightness, all the screwed parts on the deck are sealed with high resistance marine sealants.
Unidirectional fibers and plates are used to reinforce the deck-mounted gear. Hull and deck are perfectly joined and secured with stainless steel bolts every 15 cm and an inner lamination to guarantee water tightness and extraordinary strength. All of the structural bulkheads are laminated to the hull and to the deck on both sides obtaining the extremely strong hull characteristic of a Northwind Yacht. The engine mounting is manufactured with polyester resin reinforced with a fiberglass lamination over a high density PVC foam core. Stainless steel plates are laminated where the elastic supports of the engine are placed and embedded into the laminate.
Cast lead bulb in the keel with 4% antimony to improve the mechanical characteristics. The sections follow a NACA profile. Keel and hull are solidly fitted together with stainless steel (AISI 316) bolts, sealed with marine adhesive with perimeter lamination. The rudder axis and its structure are made from aluminum. The rudder blade is made from fiber and resin with high-density foam, being saber shaped and is fitted to the hull with self aligning bearings. The top of the rudder stock has the connection for the emergency tiller, controlled from the deck.
