ABOUT YANKEE

YANKEE is a USCG certified schooner with a fresh COI (December - 2018).  She has generated reliable and steady income for her owner for the last fifteen years, operating between Miami and Key West.

She is approved for 37 day passengers and 14 overnight with a crew requirement of captain plus 1.

She offers numerous business opportunities,  including an owner liveaboard day charter vessel, a windjammer style multi-day charter vessel and/or a Tall Ship event participant.

YANKEE  is a familiar and welcomed sight along the Florida Keys.  Her next owner is invited to keep the name and her tradition alive.

Please call Brian Commette or your broker for in depth color commentary.

Introduction

YANKEE is a purpose built, steel schooner, designed to meet all USCG sub-chapter T regulations allowing the carrying of passengers.  Her COI (Certificate of Inspection) was renewed in December 2018; she is permitted to sail with 37 passengers during daylight hours or 14 passengers overnight. Crew requirements include USCG licensed captain plus one crewmember.

YANKEE has always generated a healthy income stream for her current owner who is retiring from the business.  She has the potential to generate strong cash flow for her next owner in a suitable port.  A working owner / captain could easily live aboard YANKEE while conducting a day charter business.

Offers are encouraged.

Accommodations

Accommodations forward include four small guest cabins with multiple berths, plus a single berth captain’s cabin and two separate enclosed heads with showers.  Aft quarters, in a full-beam greatcabin, include three berths, dining area and L-shaped galley.  Engine and generator access is under the aft companionway.

Comforts might be best described as “Windjammer" opposed to “luxury yacht".
