GUIDED DISCOVERY is a stunning 2014 63 Outer Reef long range cruising yacht.
Upon stepping onto the swim platform, the first thing you notice is the beautiful teak that covers the integrated swim platform, steps to the aft deck, and the aft deck. The fully covered aft deck boast a settee with custom teak table, overhead lighting, custom cabinet that houses a sink, built in trash can and a Norcold refrigerator. There are boarding gates both port and starboard and a ladder from the aft deck to the boat deck as well. You will also find custom wing doors at the walkarounds to reduce the breeze on the aft deck.
The salon is entered by a sliding door with phantom screens to keep the bugs out. To port is the entertainment cabinet with hi/lo TV lift and slide out DVD storage behind the TV. There is also an AV cabinet to port. The settee to port has wenge accented bull nose as does the starboard side of the salon. The salon also features another custom wenge and teak table with custom overhead stainless handrail and recessed ceiling lighting. Window mullion sconces and teak flooring with Sika boarder finish off the warm décor of the salon.
Just three steps and you are into the designer galley with full storage on the starboard side with pull out shelves. Just forward is the full-size refrigerator, additional storage with pull out shelves, and a wine cooler. To port is the spacious galley with ample granite counter space and a center island with drawers and the 110/220 breaker panel. There are full size GE Monogram appliances including a convection microwave, convection oven, 4 burner cook top, 18” dishwasher, trash compactor and a 22 bottle U-line wine cooler. Forward of the galley and to port is a very comfortable settee with teak table. The pilothouse is finished with a custom stainless hand rail with recessed lighting.
The lower helm features a Stidd helm chair and a full compliment of navigation and communication equipment including 3 Garmin 7215 multifunction screens, two Garmin GMI 10s, a Furuno NAV Pilot and a Raymarine T353 Night Vision controls, 2 Garmin GHS10 VHFs along with GOST monitoring system. Remote controls for the generators and chilled water system are also found at the helm. Stainless-steel handrails finishes off the custom helm station.
To starboard lie the pilothouse door to the fully covered walkarounds, the beautiful teak and wenge stairway to the fly bridge, and the stairs to the lower level.
As you make your way up the flybridge you will find a single access hatch and a stainless-steel handrail and cup holder. The upper helm features many repeat systems from the lower helm including a Stidd help chair and two 7215 Garmin screens. The fiberglass hardtop provides protection from the elements and houses overhead lights. Just aft of the helm, to port, is a settee with storage underneath and a fiberglass table on slider. To starboard is another refrigerator and sink. Behind the settee is a full size BBQ and storage locker.
The boat deck and carries a 13’ AB tender equipped with a 60 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine, davit, and a built in 6-man life raft.
A teak curved stairway leads from the pilothouse to the lower accommodations. Forward lies the VIP stateroom featuring a queen size berth with storage underneath and ensuite head and shower with granite counters and tumbled marble in the shower. There is a drop down TV in the ceiling and lockers on both port and starboard. The stateroom also has an overhead escape hatch and individual climate control. Teak and wenge book shelve line the hull sides
Just aft of the VIP is the port guest double bunk stateroom with a small chest of drawers and hanging locker. There is a jack and Jill door to the VIP head for hallway access. Under the bunk lies a Lee board to secure small babies and children from falling out of the berth.
Just aft of the guest stateroom, in the hall, is the washer dryer on the port side with storage, including adjustable shelving on the starboard side.
Midship is the master stateroom. Upon entering you can’t help but notice the full king size berth flanked by wenge and teak night stands. On each nightstand are individual controls for HVAC and lighting along with extra 110 volt outlets. Behind the wenge framed head board is a built-in gun locker, and under the berth is the Bose subwoofer for the master surround system. Over the berth is the optional half-round ceiling detail with lighting.
Storage is plentiful with a walk-in locker just forward of the head. The entire aft bulkhead is a combination of shelving, drawers, and hanging locker space. There is also access to the engine room. The ensuite head and shower feature granite counter tops and tumbled marble shower floor.
