Vivid is clad in a history and pending future that live up to her name. Vivid one-of-a-kind memories of some of the most interesting places, people and sea life in the world are the valuable gems this comfortable, ocean-going, pedigreed Jongert 2700M has delivered to her owner and guests. Equipped for self-reliance while world cruising, the on-deck pilothouse/deck salon offers 360 degree living views and excellent visibility from the forward helm, thanks to recessed foredeck stowage for the tender. The pilothouse windows are closed to ward off cold while cruising in Antarctica and opened in the Marquesas to let the warm tropical breezes waft through. Air-conditioning is also an option in hot weather. Two tables dine eight people comfortably. A sunning area lies between the pilothouse and aft twin helms which also sail Vivid through thick and thin. Sails furl hydraulically; the main sail into the boom of the carbon rig.
In the salon below, two lounge areas on either side with an entertainment area and bar provide relaxation. Aft is the full-width owner’s stateroom and two twin-bedded guest staterooms. All have ensuite bathrooms. Forward of the salon is the galley, crew mess and two cabins for crew.
A major, valuable asset to the next owner of Vivid is her condition. In 2012 Vivid returned to the Jongert mother yard for a full refit/rebuild which made her “as new.” From new decks, generators and a rebuilt engine, to a completely refurbished modern interior, Vivid was given a new lease on life. In 2016 she paused her world tour for a rig pull, survey, and replacement of all standing rigging, as well as new exterior paint.
The captain who has sailed Vivid for many years says it best. “Vivid is a very seaworthy boat that loves to be sailed. I have enormous appreciation for all of the safe miles we have sailed and extraordinary owner’s experience that we have accomplished aboard Vivid.”
Vivid’s condition is outstanding; inspection is highly recommended.
