ABOUT MORNING STAR

The Hudson 44 center cockpit ketch rig-cutter cruiser, is a sought after offshore cruising yacht. This is a very stable, full keel, yacht which features traditional lines and plenty of walk around space. The center-cockpit is sunken and well protected from the elements.

The interior is very spacious. The large aft cabin has 2 transom port lights, side port lights and an overhead deck hatch for lots of natural lighting and good ventilation.

The interior wood work and cabinetry feature carved artisan designs and is in excellent condition. The teak flooring is in very nice condition.

Accommodations

Large chain locker forward with large followed by a forepeak cabin with high/low singles on starboard and storage on port.

Next aft is a stateroom with an offset double berth on port and an enclosed head with stall shower opposite on port

Step up to the galley and dinette area. To starboard  is the L-shaped galley and on port is the U-shaped dinette.

On starboard leading aft to the aft cabin is a workbench/chart table area with storage above and below and engine room access.

Continue aft to the master cabin with queen size berth. There are two hanging lockers, abundant storage drawers, vanity and mirror. Lots of natural light with a deck hatch over the berth and two transom windows. There is an ensuite head with stall shower on port.

Galley

The galley features a double stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water and a hand fresh water pump.  There is a gimbaled seaward three burner propane stove with oven, microwave oven and a top and front loading fridge with Isotherm cold plate refrigeration.

    The engine is currently non-operational.  It needs a new exhaust riser system and the fuel and wiring are disconnected and need re-connection.  It was running at the time it was disconnected for re-wiring and new tanks but that was more than five years ago.  the project was never completed and in the intervening period the exhaust riser self destructed.

    This boat was undergoing a full renovation when the seller's plans changed.  The following is a list of improvements:

    The masts have been reconditioned.  New stainless steel fuel tanks installed including valves, lines and vents.  New marine grade wiring, harnesses and distribution panel, Updated water pressure system with new pumps hoses and water heater.  New 22 gallon holding tank forward with vacuflush head and new hoses.  Built-in dehumidifiers. New cold plate refrigerator/freezer with upgraded fridge box insulation. New aluminum propane tanks with new hoses valves and fume detector.
