Entering “WILLIE B” from the cockpit you will find a settee to the starboard side and directly across will be the folding table with an “L” shaped settee. Moving forward on the starboard side is a liquor cabinet with two lockers below and directly ahead of that is the helm seat with storage. Across from the helm is the galley with ample storage.
Going down three steps and on the port side is the guest berth which also forms a seating area if the need arose. The head is across with a Vacu-flush head and separate shower stall. The forward stateroom is quite large with two hanging lockers and plenty of drawers.
New to the market “WILLIE B” is a limited and rare production Grand Banks 36 Europa. The Europa design emphasizes livability in the main salon and galley areas with the versatility of a fully covered aft deck and side decks. The teak covered aft deck, as well as the upper-deck aft of the flybridge, extends the yacht’s open air living space.
This yacht has the popular twin forward cabin layout. The side berth can be configured as a two-person bed or as a settee. Her interior is entirely teak, with Grand Bank’s standard of near perfect joinery. She has great interior visibility and the comfort of forced air diesel heat. Equipped with two Ford 135 Lehman diesel engines, she is easy and economical to operate and easy to maintain.
This yacht has all the sought after features of the larger 42 GB Europa in a slightly smaller, less costly version. Grand Banks built a limited number of these yachts between 1988 and 1998. The 1991 model incorporated many owner suggestions from earlier years and became the standard for those that followed. The production run (reportedly only 18 yachts) was split between Europe and North America, with half of the North American boats on each coast. The coveted 36 Europa is scarcely seen for sale. This is a rare opportunity to own a Grand Banks Europa at a very reasonable price.
