Launched in 2000 for her first owner, and completely refitted in 2011/12, “M/Y VITA II” is a 27-metre motor yacht SANTA 27, built by the Italian shipyard DIANO, well known for wooden construction, in their facilities in Santa Margherita Ligure.

“M/Y VITA II” interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests overnight in 3 cabins, comprising a master suite and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew on-board to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. The huge windows grant increased brightness to the living area, the functional distribution of the main deck has made the dinner area independent from the living room. Interior furniture in beached oak wood in satin finishing, Italian fabrics, handmaid mosaics and details, lamps in Murano glass.

Hull

The keel is built using two different type of wood: solid mahogany in the stern straight part, with a size of about 230 x 200 mm and laminated wood for what concerns the stempost; the laminated is composed by 10 x 20mm in thickness planks of wood and allows it to create the necessary curva-ture without unduly out the wood fiber. The 6 girders are in mahogany, the reinforcements which run longitudinally from the bow to the stern with an average size of 150 x 100mm; in the engine room the girders are properly coated with steel in order to support the engines weight. The frames floor, the partners and the stringers are in mahogany instead the edge between the hull and the top side is in mahogany in the stern and central part and in laminated wood in the forward part. The laminated wood is also used for the skeg. The frames are in ash: the advantage to use this material is the high elasticity that can absorb side impact without too much stress for the structure; their spacing is proportional arriving in the areas of greatest stress, like the bottom and the forward areas of the yacht at a distance of 150–200 mm. Two different type of wood are used for the skin: the bottom is in 18mm plywood (RINA approved) of the type called "armored", with a number of layers double than the average; and one layer of solid mahoga-ny with thickness of 16-18 mm is glued to the frameworks. The skin is nailed to the frames using a massive bolting with steel pins; also the skeg is fixed with the same system, using in this case staggered holes to pre-vent a loss of resistance in the structure.
The sides are in plywood (RINA approved) with a thickness of 20 mm , as well as the transom; so a double skin is used for the hull and a single skin for the sides, here to avoid the possible marking of screws and pins a 3 mm plywood is glued using the vacuum technique. On mahogany beams it is laid the teak deck and the superstructure. This is built using solid, ply-wood and laminated wood.

Accommodations

General:
The interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests overnight in 3 cabins, comprising a master suite and 2 guests cabins (both equipped with a Pullman bed). She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard. Interior furniture in beached oak, Italian leather and details in Murano glass.

Main Saloon:
A spacious and light main saloon is surrounded on three sides by pano-ramic windows, which bathe the room with natural light and offer spectacu-lar vistas. Beautifully upholstered sofas arranged in a sociable layout and 2 coffee tables enhance the relaxing ambience of the saloon, and offer guests an environment in which to relax and enjoy the uninterrupted views beyond. A 42" TV/DVD-Player/Sat-receiver is fitted in the forward part of the living area (separating this area from the dining area), complete with a discreetly integrated surround sound system. Starboard a sideboard unit containing cupboards and drawers.

The forward dining area can accommodate up to 6 guests in comfort and is easily serviced from the large galley adjacent. Storage areas for cutlery and crockery and day toilet with vacuum toilet and washbasin.

Galley:
The galley is equipped to the highest standards with Corian surfaces, extensive food preparation facilities and including: 4 ring ceramic hob, conventional oven, full size refrigerator and deep freeze, dishwasher, high and low level storage cupboards and drawers, extractor fan, cutlery stor-age. Crew can gain access to the galley via the port side deck to ensure guests are never needlessly disturbed.


Wheelhouse:
Forward of the galley there is the wheelhouse which incorporates a large dinette and seating area, port side deck and instrumentation console.

Master Cabin:
The master cabin is placed on the forward area of the yacht and it is fur-nished with a double bed with drawers below and bedside tables, a walk-in wardrobe with hanging and drawer storage, 22" screen with Sat-receiver. The large luxurious head is equipped with mosaic floor, Carrara marble washbasin, stall shower, storage for towels, vacuum toilet and bidet.

Guests Cabins:
The two guest cabins are both fitted with two single beds with bedsides tables, drawers, wardrobe with dress hanger, spare cupboards under the bed, reading lights, stereo-CD and 19" TV with Sat-receiver. Each cabin has is en-suite head equipped with Carrara marble top wash-basin, mirror, toilet cabinet, toilet with inbuilt bidet and separate shower.

Crew Quarters:
Two crew cabins, one with two single beds and one with single bed, are located on the aft area of the yacht. The quarter is equipped with: en-suite head with washbasin, toilet and shower, wardrobe and cupboards. The captain cabin has also access to the helstock are and it is equipped with a FURUNO GPS/Radar and 19" TV; from the crew are there is also the ac-cess to the engine room.
