Well equipped 2004 64' Grand Alaskan RPMY powered with twin 3124 IB CAT diesels.  Accommodations for six in 3 double cabins and 2 heads with showers.  Built with many upgrades and followed up by continual improvements and new equipment as needed.

This 64' Alaskan Pilothouse was originally built for the former owner of a 60' Grand Alaskan Pilothouse with substantial improvements and additions. Her current owner continued to upgrade the yacht with recent improvements and equipment.

The yachts built in this series were originally designed as a 60' Pilothouse. The 64' Pilothouse model allows for two additional feet in the aft deck/cockpit area and two additional feet in the salon, which includes the area below with an extra two feet in the lazarette and an extra two feet in the engine room. This yacht is Hull No. 30 of this series.

THALASSA was built in the Tania Yard and is of very high quality. She represents a very special opportunity to buy a 64' pilothouse and take advantage of an owner who specified a tremendous number of upgrades after studying plans and specifications of previous hulls.

The interior of this yacht is of hand chosen teak paneling and was built following custom blueprints with specific cabinets, drawers, lockers, doors, valances, headboards, etc., defined and specified by the original purchaser who is now making this yacht available for sale. The lighting and wiring systems of this yacht include halogen lighting throughout as well as additional lighting per lighting and wiring plans also pre-approved prior to construction by the original purchaser.

The aft deck/cockpit area has a large built-in seat with storage below, custom hi-lo table, a cabinet with icemaker, built-in sink and storage below, wing doors, non-skid surface, port and starboard side gate doors, and an opening gate door to the integrated swim platform which has its own integrated hydraulically-raised hatch housing the stainless steel custom swim ladder. In addition, the owner specified an extension of the upper deck area so this entire area is under cover and could be enclosed, if desired. There is also a large hatch in this area, which leads down into the lazarette/engine room.

This yacht has complete walkaround decks with bulwarks and forward Portuguese/wave-breaking bridge for additional safety. The large foredeck has a double Capstan windlass with two opening hatches for chain lockers and double anchor rollers. In addition there is shore service available forward and a built in seat with storage below just ahead of the Portuguese Bridge. The yacht is equipped with 300' feet of chain and a 75' lb anchor.

Furthest forward in the salon is a custom bookshelf. The galley adjoins the salon and features a beautifully finished teak and holly sole, full-size double opening stainless steel GE refrigerator/freezer to starboard. The center helm position offers excellent visibility and a custom electronics console housing the GPS plotter, color computer monitor, radar, autopilot, and separate wind and depth units. Electrical panels for 12v/24v and 110v/220v are easily accessed from this area. The entire pilothouse area has beautiful teak and holly sole.
  • A wide comfortable staircase leads up from the pilothouse to an extended top flybridge. Two STIDD chairs are installed. There is a built-in large L-shaped sectional seating with storage below and two fiberglass tables built-in ahead of this seating. Two custom molded fiberglass deck boxes were built behind the seating to accommodate large items for storage. To starboard are a refrigerator/icemaker, sink and a gas barbecue with twin tanks. The optional extended deck makes the flybridge huge and allows for this yacht to comfortably carry a 14' dinghy with 50hp outboard plus have a large additional area for sunning/lounging forward of the tender. The cushions for the Flybridge, forward seat, and aft deck seat are made of a high quality sunbrella fabric. A new retractable Bimini was recently installed.
  • The master stateroom is accessed via a private custom spiral staircase from the salon/galley area. A walkaround king-size berth, two granite-topped end tables with three drawers each, substantial hanging lockers, and a built-in entertainment center with TV, DVD and CD players. A number of additional cabinets and bookshelves were specified to maximize the use of this stateroom. There is additional locker storage underneath the berth and a framed mirror above the headboard. The ensuite head has a large shower stall, granite-topped counters, vanity, sink, storage and a beautiful teak and holly sole. There is access to the engine room, cleverly disguised behind a teak opening door with leads to a water tight dogged door with viewing port. There is additional lighting overhead and reading lights on each side of the berth.
  • The guest staterooms are accessed from the pilothouse by a custom curved staircase that opens to an upper/lower berth stateroom, located to port, with double opening doors, large hanging locker, vanity and mirror. To starboard is a head, which can be entered from either the hallway or from the VIP berth forward. This head offers a large stall shower, sink, storage, custom linen closet and a teak and holly sole. The forward VIP stateroom features a walkaround queen-size berth with significant drawer storage underneath, mirrored bulkhead at head of berth, large hanging locker, storage shelves and room for a 13" color television. It should be noted that the VIP on this yacht has considerable additional volume in part due to the hull design of this series.
