Seller's Comments

Defiant has been fully imported into New Zealand. She maintains her US Coast Guard Documentation. She is a one owner boat with a lot of live-aboard time cruising since purchased in 1991. Defiant has been sailed throughout the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos, The Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, Cuba, and the Florida Keys.

Owner lived aboard while cruising in Turks and Caicos and in Cayman Brac. Defiant is very comfortable, ideally suited for long term accommodations. She is self-sufficient, with the wind generator charging system- as most of the time she was on a swing mooring. She was shipped to NZ on the Dockwise float on float off freighter in Dec 2002. She has been used lightly but regularly, although no longer as a live-aboard since arriving in NZ. She has been well maintained throughout her life

Defiant is an ideal cruiser/live aboard. She is well situated in Opua, NZ (North Island) for NZ cruising and for South Pacific Cruising.

Rarely does such a well -cared for, comfortable cruising sailboat like this become available. Consider the possibility of buying Defiant and using her as your live aboard home in picturesque New Zealand.

Recent insurance survey- new bottom paint (Awlcraft black ablative) prop speed (Sept 2014), new cutlass bearing
