This vessel is powered by a pair of Detroit Diesel 12V-71 diesel engines, each producing approximately 900 horsepower. The main engines are driving a pair of ZF BW 195 reduction gear transmissions turning a ratio of 2.0:1. The main engines and new 30 Kw Northern Lights genset are located beneath the salon sole in a compact engine room. The main engines were completely rebuilt in 2014. There's a 20 Kw Northern Lights genset which is located forward within the port machinery room. The main engines are controlled by a Hynautic hydraulic system.
