Mondomarine's M57 EIDOS is as much a statement piece, as she is a well-designed luxury motor yacht. Usually, most "head-turning" concepts only can be created by sacrificing aspects of practicality, usability and ergonomics, however Enrico Gobbi has managed to keep the best of both worlds with this spectacular design.
Aside from the unquestionable beauty of her profile, at around 800 GRT the interior volume of M57 EIDOS is surprisingly large, with spacious cabins for 12 guests, two large salons, a beach club and an impressive owner’s suite fit for a king. If James Bond owned a yacht, this would be it!
The M57 EIDOS is essentially a unique twist on a tri-deck layout. All three decks are sleek, modern and sexy. The main deck aft features a unique infinity pool with large sun pads on either side, making great use of an often unused area. A fold-down swim platform reveals Euro-style transom stairs and a large-volume beach club with lounge area and full-service bar. An enormous “Nikki Beach” resort-style seating, sun bathing and Jacuzzi area is situated on the foredeck, which also has an option for helicopter capabilities, and the sundeck features a full-service bar, high-top seating, large dining table under a retractable roof and various sun pads.
A sample M57 EIDOS interior package has been put together by Enrico Gobbi, but essentially the interior is completely customizable to an owner's tastes. The current design is a perfect compliment to the exterior look and feel. Enrico Gobbi has created a comfortable, contemporary and elegant environment throughout, with a luxury “New York penthouse” vibe. The M57 EIDOS features five guest cabins on the lower deck, one of which is a full-beam VIP and an expansive on-deck master suite with an office, luxurious en-suite bathroom and relaxing lounge area with a private balcony. It also offers calming salon areas on the main and bridge decks, large social seating areas with windows offering panoramic views and flooding the area with ambient light.
The M57 EIDOSs is the essence of concept designing; it’s bold, exciting, beautiful and unapologetically different.
