ABOUT ICARUS

ICARUS WILL BE ON DISPLAY AT THE PALMA SUPERYACHT SHOW 28th April - 2nd May 2016

“ICARUS”
is the sixth Jongert 2700M and it was this owners wish to start from a proven model that he fitted out with an extended keel, carbon mast and PBO fore and backstays.

Although all Jongert 2700M come with more or less the same interior layout of owners aft cabin and two equal guest cabins, deck and lower salon, every Jongert has its own interior styling. ICARUS is light and airy, modern in many ways with white washed teak finish and brushed stainless steel details.

The highlight of ICARUS is her covered deckhouse with opening windows, a great feature.

Interiors and Accommodation

The Interior of ICARUS is simply stunning, lightly limed and waxed teak walls with dark wood floors. The salon is light and inviting. The table over port goes up and down electrically. The crew lives forwards with their own settee and two cabins with single berths for three people.  The galley is set in the centre of the boat with a sliding serving hatch so that the cook can put the food on that bar type counter.

The owners cabin aft has an extra wide bed, emergency escape, vanity, hull windows and en suite bathroom. The large Tv and Denon super sound system is hidden. Over port the owners en-suite bathroom has a stall rain shower and two handwash basins, all of the highest standards. Forward of the owners cabin are two twin bedded guest cabins,
HIGHLIGHT: The covered deckhouse with opening windows is the best feature. When seated there one can be part of it all, yet, out of the elements. The aft part of this roof can be moved forward to open up the seating area. The roof as well as the windows in this area are controled electrically. This is a great feature, seen on very few yachts. The finish of ICARUS her interior is typical for Jongert. No space for improvements, simply superb!
