ABOUT SHIP'S CAFE

PRICE REDUCED - OFFERS ARE ENCOURAGED! MANY UPDATES AND YET TRUE COLLECTOR AMONG THE MERRITT PEDIGREE!

SHIP'S CAFE can be included in the fleet of beautifully renovated and delicately cared for Merritt sport fishing vessels. Receiving over one-million dollars in Merritt electrical and engineering improvements, and an intense 6 month refit in 2010, this 60' model has an excellent ride and is set-up to sleep 7 guests comfortably. All headliner, recessed LED lighting, wallpaper and carpeting was replaced during her refit. Her new mezzanine platform and large cockpit, allow for comfort with serious fishing goals in mind. This Merritt was repowered in 2007 with MAN 1100 common rail engines, making her very fuel efficient and burning a low 60 gph at 1950 rpm, cruising 26 knots with a 60% load.  Her 3000 MAN service was completed in March 2015.  Her many updates show this boat as a more current model, and a true collector among the Merritt pedigree.

Vessel Walkthrough

There is a centerline entry door into the salon which allows for a balanced interior with a most inviting setting. Complete with a custom leather sofa, recliner chair, bar stools, countertop seating and a dinette which provide excellent comfort for guests’. Forward to port is the open galley featuring marble counter tops, (2) sub-zero refrigerators, and custom cabinetry which conceals several appliances and storage spaces. Across to starboard is the dinette, which has custom storage below the seat and floor, with marble tabletop. There is also a wine cooler and (2) sub-zero freezer drawers in the aft port cabinet in the salon.

Down the center companionway all the way to the forward v-berth you will find the master suite, outfitted with a queen size centerline bed athwart ship, and en-suite head forward. The portside guest cabin features (3) single berths and an en-suite head. The starboard guest cabin has (2) bunks, with an access door to the guest head from the stateroom and from the companionway. The laundry closet has a stack Miele washer and dryer.

As you exit the salon back into the teak cockpit you step on the newly built mezzanine, which has seating port and starboard along with refrigeration, Eskimo ice dump box and storage below. There are also (2) in-deck live wells, where one has a separate Eskimo Ice machine disposal. The cockpit is fish-ready equipped with a large Rybovich offset stanchion fighting chair, under gunwale receptacles, fresh and salt wash down, hot and cold shower, and a walk-through transom door. For sun protection, there is a 1/4 fold down sunshade in place.

Under the mezzanine step is the engine room access hatch. There are two Generator’s port & starboard. Forward of the engines is the pump room. All systems have had major work (if not new in 2010) and are hard plumbed and  finished with white Awlgrip paint. There are many duplicate systems on-board.

Step up the aluminum Merritt ladder with full rail handles and beautiful teak steps and arrive on the large bridge deck. Uniquely there is a center helm, (3) three helm chairs with U-shaped seating port, starboard and forward of helm, to easily accommodate up to 10 people. The electronics are recessed in the custom teak helm pod, complete with sliding covers. The hard top and tuna tower were custom built by Palm Beach Tower in 2010, complete with recessed teaser reels, and hand rails mounted under the bridge for safety.

Ship’s Cafe is truly in remarkable condition throughout and will meet the demands of the most fastidious buyer looking for this type of quality vessel.
