Cape Arrow is the hull n. 12 of the successful SW100 project, and #03 in the Raised Saloon version.
Delivered in June 2011, she has been designed by the winning collaboration between Farr Yacht Design for the naval architecture and Nauta Design for the general concept, interior design and exterior styling. This yacht is intended for owners who enjoy the aggressive, sporty lines of a low coachroof profile and open transom without compromising the generous interior spaces of a Deck Saloon version.
Hull, deck and structures are laminated on a female mould through a process of Vacuum infusion with advanced composite materials (carbon fibre, Kevlar, Corecell and epoxy resins).
The SW100 RS boasts more than a ton in weight loss, compared to the 100 DS, through the absence of the deckhouse. Further weight savings were allowed by new furniture design materials, use of carbon floor bearers, performance rig package, including high mod carbon mast and EC6 carbon continuous rigging.
The interior layout follows the classic SWS configuration. The master suite is forward of the mast and accessible through the study. It includes a vanity desk and a spacious en suite head with shower box. The guest accommodation comprises of two twin en suite cabins (one with an additional lifting bunk) and a double VIP cabin further forward.
The crew area is located aft and consists of two double cabins, two heads and a galley with separate navigation station.
The large, well lit, saloon is located amidships and features a comfortable conversation area on starboard and the dining area on port side. Compared to the DS, the saloon has been lowered, thus widening the living area. This creates a single open space with the adjacent study. The interior styling reflects the sporty vocation of this yacht with the use of light colour fabrics and contrasting horizontal grain teak furniture, the combination of which achieves the visual result of an increased interior space.
