ABOUT SAMOSET

It does not take long to see that “SAMOSET” represents a refreshingly rare diversion in a market that is dominated today by rather “plain Jane” center consoles and runabouts that hardly garner a 2nd look as they pass by.  This boat is totally different; she’s well and purposefully proportioned.  She’s elegant at the dock, refined on a cocktail cruise, and comfortable while watching the kids and grandkids Opti race.   She is truly is one of the most high quality and beautifully finished runabouts out there.  Doug Zurn nailed the design perfectly, blending timeless good looks and modern thoroughbred performance, this boat is an absolute blast to drive. Essentially a first time offering, she is in beautiful condition and should exceed the expectations of those inspecting her.
Come take a personal look, she does not disappoint.

Overview

“SAMOSET” is an absolutely stunning custom designed Gentleman’s runabout with a very good turn of speed, great ride, and secure predictable handling.  Built by Samoset Boat Works in Boothbay, Maine for the yards owner as a personal runabout and company showboat, she is thoughtfully designed, impeccably finished, and lovingly broken in.  Wanting for nothing except a new owners desired electronics package, she is truly ready to go.

Accommodations

A fully enclosed head with freshwater vacuflush toilet, wash basin, and small vanity is located forward in the bow.  Port and Starboard deck level seating follow with storage and cold plate refrigeration beneath.  Seating is also found forward of the console, all more or less protected by a sturdy dodger.  The console provides a leaning post for two, a cleverly designed hideaway panel for electronics and a beautifully designed “Palm Beach” style helm.  A second cold plate refrigeration compartment is located aft of, and integrated with, the leaning post.  Aft along the transom is a custom fabricated natural teak bench seat.  All in all, there is easily enough space for 8 to 10 adults to spend the day afloat with plenty of cold drinks and the privacy of an enclosed head.
