Amneris is a classic yacht of the highest pedigree—designed by Alden and built by Palmer Johnson.

In 2008, during her six month refit, the hull was repainted along with the masts and booms. New teak decks were laid, the centerboard was dismantled and completely rebuilt as were many other mechanical systems.

Since then, Amneris did a Transatlantic crossing to France and back to Fort Lauderdale. She was lightly used since then and all systems maintained to working order by her knowledgeable owner, and the caprails and teak trims freshly varnished.

The sail plan is straight-forward with enough technology to make it easy--from the Reckmann roller-furling head sail to the electric primary toe buttons.

Not for sale to US residents while in US waters.

Amneris is laid out with the crew cabins forward and guest’s staterooms aft.

At the forward end of the crew area is the crew head with plenty of storage, toilet, sink and shower, moving aft the crew cabin has one large bed to port and two ample bunks to starboard.

Continuing aft is the full-beam galley, a broad “U” work area comprised of a large, deep stainless steel sink with a filtered water spigot plus faucet head that extends and sprays; a four burner stainless steel propane stove with oven and exhaust fan; counter opening  refrigeration, plus a freezer compartment in the galley sole. Cupboards and drawers provide storage above the counters. To port is a crew dinette, washer, dryer and storage.  Steps to the raised salon hinge up for access to the stand-up engine room.

Going up the steps from the galley, the raised salon features large, beautiful windows that fill the salon with natural light.  To port a “U” shaped sofa surrounds a versatile classic varnished table, it can be cocktail or dining height and can be enlarged to seat 10 people if the leaves are installed.  On the starboard aft bulkhead the navigation station has all the necessary equipment for coastal or blue-water cruising. The port aft bulkhead houses the entertainment center including a new large flat screen TV.

From the salon, moving aft are the owner/guest accommodations comprised of three staterooms.

Guest Cabins
The port forward guest room has over/under large staggered bunks with plenty of storage and hanging locker.
The ensuite head has a sink with marble counter tops, large mirrored cabinet flanked by two sconce lights, a fresh water toilet and ample shower.

The second guest stateroom, located farther aft on the starboard side, is similar to the port cabin, also with an en suite head.

Master Cabin

All the way aft is the full-beam master stateroom boasting a beautiful queen size bed to starboard and a large single bed to port, with a sofa running between them. Large drawers below the beds, side cabinets with three drawers and to starboard two full length hanging lockers provide excellent storage.

The en suite head to port includes a large shower with bench seat and storage, fresh water toilet, sink with marble countertop, plenty of cabinets plus a large mirror.

The interior throughout exudes a rich, classic warmth.  Teak walls toned down with contrasting white & beige suede panels and headliners with teak trim, teak and holly floors all contribute to making this beautiful yacht a homely and inviting environment.  Hatches have black-out and mosquito screens. Besides natural ventilation provided by hatches, portholes and dorades, DC fans and air conditioning with reverse cycle heating ensures comfortable living regardless of the cruising grounds.

Deck Layout

The deck layout is one of the best for a classic yacht of this size and vintage.  All one level, the deck is easily negotiable, comfortable and safe.

Cockpit and Helm
The cockpit with canvas top and eisenglass sides, has a table to port which seats at least six, and opposite is a settee with storage underneath.

Aft of this area is the helm station surrounded by seating and the helm chair with tilt that can be adjusted. The mizzen mast, just aft of the cockpit, marks the beginning of the very spacious aft deck peppered with chaises lounges and deck chairs.
