Less than a year old, this is the perfect opportunity to purchase a J/111, next generation speedster that is a fast, versatile 36 footer with A-Sail ease.

This yacht has been actively raced by her owners with a high performance race record. It is the perfect opportunity for a performance racer to pick up an 'as-new' J/111 on the market, that is fully loaded and race ready without having to wait on a build time

This yacht is a 2012 hull commissioned in the UK in August 2012, delivered to Hong Kong December 2012.

About the J/111 model:

Described as fast, fun and easy to sail, this J-boat races, day sails and is also suitable for weekend trips. Pure in form and elegant in execution, the J/111 is a beautifully driven, easy to handle speedster that slices to windward at 7+knots and hits double digit speeds downwind.

Designed with the avid performance sailor in mind, this yacht is all about sailing value and performance. Described as the fastest J under 40ft this sailboat accelerates up to speed in the slightest of puffs thanks to a generous, high-aspect rig combined with a long and lean hull. Sailing efficiency is gained by maximizing the sail luff lengths  and reducing foot lengths to create a balanced, non-overlapping sail plan. Sailing upwind, the J/111's efficient hull form and low vertical center of gravity combine to provide an exceptionally smooth balanced and close winded ride without having to stack the rail with loads of crew. Downwind, with its planing hull shape and powerful masthead asymmetrical spinnaker flown from a retractable carbon sprit, this yacht delivers a light-handling exhilarating ride with one-handed fingertip control on the helm.

The J/111 sports a large T-shaped cockpit with open transom, floor-mounted traveler and elegant but rugged moulded in wheel pedestal to anchor the large 60" wheel. The helmsman can comfortably sit to windward to see the jib telltales while easily reaching the mainsheet, traveler and remote hydraulic backstay. The jib trimmer can in quick succession adjust jib sheet tension, jib lead position and jib inhauler angle thanks to conveniently placed controls. The halyards, reef, furler, and sprit lines are also cockpit led to simplify shorthand sailing.

Technology behind the Build:

The J/111 is built to exceed the new ISO 12215 structural standard (Cat A) and features an optimized E-glass/balsa vacuum infused laminated hull, an E-glass/Corecell deck, a flange-mounted low VCG bulb keel, a retractable carbon sprit and high aspect rudder with carbon rudder post. The custom Hall Spars auto-claved carbon mast is lighter, stronger and has lower weight distribution than conventional rigs. This yacht is designed and engineered towards centralizing and lowering the weight of all critical components both above and below decks, to optimize the on-the-water performance.
