Novatrix is hull #11 of the exciting design from the respected Finnish boatbuilder, Siltala Yachts. She represents an opportunity to purchase a lightly used, high performance, four cabin yacht in excellent condition. The current and second owner purchased her in the US and has recently sailed her through the Caribbean to Bermuda then across the Atlantic to Barcelona. Novatrix has received extensive upgrades totalling over $200,000 since 2006.
Please take an opportunity to review Novatrix's complete inventory and refit upgrades to fully appreciate the excellent value this Nauticat 515 offers.
Novatrix is a raised salon Nauticat 515 that provides an excellent opportunity for a discerning buyer to evaluate the dramatic design by Nauticat. This is a high performance, raised salon yacht with four cabins that will be of interest to the sailor looking for speed, comfort and traditional elegance. You will enjoy a wider range of sailing conditions than with most sailboats; when most sailors are reefing or running for safe harbor the Nauticat 515 handles those conditions with comfort and safety.
Nauticat believes that their quality is achieved by their ability to fabricate much of the yacht's requirements on site and to ensure thorough testing at each stage of the build. When considering the price of a yacht, buyers should be aware of the pedigree of the builder and the quality of the materials used in the Nauticat 515. Nauticat makes no concession on the latter which is confirmed by their international reputation. A Nauticat is always constructed with quality as the foremost consideration. Hulls and decks are made of solid single skin laminations, the stainless steel, joinery and upholstery are completed inhouse and the rigging is fitted and tested by Nauticat staff before releasing the yacht to its owner.

A hand laminated fiberglass construction with layers of mat and woven roving. The longitudinal stringers, the engine bed and the transverse floor bearings stiffen the hull. All main bulkheads and other structural panels are bonded to the hull where appropriate. The hull color is white with double blue waterline and a single blue cove line. The keel consists of a fiberglass section, forming a part of the hull, and of an external lead ballast. This is fixed by stainless steel bolts with double nuts and stainless steel internal backing plates.
Superstructure The deck and the superstructure are a one-piece moulding, constructed entirely of hand laminated fiberglass with a white gelcoat surface. Rigidity is achieved with deck beams formed by the use of polyurethane foam. All surfaces including the pilothouse roof have an anti-slip finish. The anchor box on the foredeck has top access hatches. Six heavey duty cleats with chocks: two forward, two aft and two midships. All windows are made of safety glass fitted in alloy frames.
