The "Island Waters" is truly a one of a kind vessel.She was built by Fairmile on the River Tweed in England between 1953 and 1972. During that period it would gain national and international reputation for quality and workmanship.
Island Waters is a classic corten steel hull & superstructure/teak decked safe, strong & long range vessel. Cat powered with D342's and twin Cat 40 KW DSL gensets to keep Avalon up after hours. Her 2 year refit was completed in early 2012, and she can now aim for the horizon with a 5000 mile fuel capacity that says, ANYWHERE.....AUSTRALIA IS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION!!!
Major Restoration 2011-2012- Survey was done Mid-Way through Renovation.
Hull paint, floor refinished, headliners, light system, teak railings, safety railing on top deck and 200Sq Ft of Non-Skid.
