First of the new generation of Ocean Yachts when she was introduced back in 1990, the muscular 58 Super Sport was built on an low-deadrise, modified-V hull design with cored hullsides, a shallow keel, and a well-flared bow. Below decks, her innovative three-stateroom, three head layout is arranged with the huge full-width master stateroom located beneath the raised salon sole, a giant departure from conventional convertible floorplans of her day. Like all Ocean models, the 58' features a luxurious varnished teak interior with upscale furnishings and color-coordinated fabrics throughout. On deck, the 58 tournament-sized cockpit features molded tackle centers, cockpit controls, teak covering boards, transom door, and direct access to the spacious engine room. The flybridge is extremely large with three helm chairs and a U-shaped lounge seating forward of the helm console. (Note that a fully enclosed and air-conditioned flybridge was optional.) She is a good-running boat with plenty of eye appeal.
She has 131 square feet of cockpit space and she was in production from 1990 to 1993.
